Apple now supports iPhone 14 and M2 Macs under its self-repair program.

Apple's self-repair programme has been extended to include its newest devices, the iPhone 14 series and Macs with M2 processors. Apple currently provides consumers in a few nations, including the US, UK, Italy, and more, with spare parts, tools, and service manuals as part of its self-service repair programme. Starting on June 21, the business will start selling replacement components for these gadgets. Later on, it will also make a system configuration tool available for consumers to utilise in order to confirm that the repair went as planned.

In 2022, Apple launched its self-repair initiative with devices such the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE. Later, it expanded the programme to assist the right-to-repair campaign and included a few Mac models. Apple offers consumers participating in this programme all the replacement components they will need to conduct their own repairs.

Apple now includes MacBooks in its self-repair programme.

Users who want to perform their own iPhone and Mac repairs can ask Apple for the necessary parts, including the display, battery, camera module, and other items. The customer can return the damaged components to Apple to obtain a further discount on spares, and Apple will then supply these parts to the user.

This solar-powered reactor can transform plastic into a skincare component and air into fuel.

Researchers from Cambridge have created a solar-powered reactor that uses used plastic to turn carbon dioxide into a useful sustainable fuel.

Researchers at the University of Cambridge have created a solar-powered reactor that can transform plastic trash and collected carbon dioxide into a sustainable fuel while also creating some other valuable compounds.

Synthetic gas, or syngas, was created in the reactor from carbon dioxide. Syngas is immediately used as fuel since it is combustible. Residents of several industrialised cities received some types of syngas during the 20th century. It is difficult to work with, though, and is best utilised to make other fuels.

The test's plastic bottles, meanwhile, were transformed into glycolic acid. In the medical field, glycolic acid is used in a range of applications. According to WebMD, individuals use it to treat acne scars, dark skin patches, premature skin ageing, and acne.

Google might be forced to dissolve due to anti-competitive adtech practises in the EU

The $224.5 billion in advertising income generated by Alphabet in 2022 came from its search services, Gmail, Google Play, Google Maps, YouTube commercials, Google Ad Manager, AdMob, and AdSense.

In order to address concerns about anti-competitive practises, Alphabet's Google may need to sell a portion of its profitable adtech business, EU authorities said on Wednesday, threatening the corporation with its toughest regulatory penalty to yet.

Two years after starting an inquiry into actions like preferring its own advertising services, the European Commission laid out its complaints in a statement of objections to Google. If found guilty, this may result in a punishment of up to 10% of Google's annual global revenue.

With the advertising industry accounting for 79% of the company's total income last year, the stakes are higher for Google in its most recent spat with authorities.
